Johanna Basfords illustration work, Aberdeen never looked so good

Inspired by my upbringing on a small fish farm in rural Aberdeenshire, Scotland, much of my work has roots in the flora and fauna that I grew up with. My wandering imagination and passion for drawing took me to Art School in Dundee, where I graduated with a first class honours degree in Printed Textiles in 2005.

I embrace the challenge of a cross disciplinary approach, creating designs and surface patterns for everything from ceramics, album covers, catwalk fashion, beer bottles, wallpaper, wedding stationary and even skin! My ever-growing list of happy customers includes names such as The Crafts Council at the Victoria and Albert Museum, DKNY, The BBC, Channel 4, The Scottish Parliament, Dazed and Confused, Creative Review, Heals, Hallmark, Queensberry Hunt, Hendricks Gin, The Body Shop and Johnson and Johnson.
